*Animal Care and Animal Care Support Volunteers work in the hospital directly with the wildlife patients, and reception volunteers work in the in-take room arranging patient transport and answering wildlife related calls. Because we heavily rely on the on-site volunteer team, we ask you make a 6-month commitment to volunteering with us, as well as coming on a regular, weekly basis.
If you are applying for Animal Care or Animal Care Support, please mark all of the days within your availability:

We are open 7 days a week from 9am-5:30pm. The AM shift is from 9am-1pm, the mid-shift is from 10am-2pm, and the PM shift is from 1pm-5pm. There is some flexibility in scheduling for those who are unable to commit to those specific time slots.
Scheduling comments or shift time preference?
If you are applying for Rescue and Transport, please let us know what geographic region you're located in, and if you are comfortable with rescue & transport, or just transport.
Rescue and Transport Volunteers operate on an "on-call" basis. Our service range runs from the Long Beach Peninsula in Washington, south to Newport, Oregon. When we need to get an animal to our facility in a timely manner, we call down a list of people who are on our transport list closest to that animal until we are able to find someone who can help. Our Wildlife Rescue Hotline is answered during business hours only (7 days a week, 9am-5:30pm), and so it is extremely unlikely that you would ever be called outside of those times.
Do you have any further comments about your skills, or how you would like to contribute to the Wildlife Center?
Thank you so much for your interest in joining our volunteer team! The Volunteer Coordinator will respond to the email address you've provided on this application.
